For patients

Patient relations department

Requests, support, coordination, and patient assistance.

The patient relations department is here to help you and your family through every stage of your care. It is a neutral, supportive point of contact for questions, concerns, requests, and feedback.

What the department can help with

The patient relations team can assist with:

  • General information about your rights as a patient and the services available
  • Questions about your care plan, test results, or next steps that were not fully answered during a clinical appointment
  • Concerns about communication, privacy, waiting times, ward conditions, or the conduct of any member of staff
  • Requests for social support, interpretation, or assistance for patients with disabilities
  • Coordination between departments when your care involves several teams
  • Questions about medical records, including how to request copies of documents

Your rights as a patient

At Cancer Center Uzbekistan, patients have the right to:

  • Be treated with dignity and without discrimination
  • Receive clear information about their diagnosis, proposed treatment, realistic expectations, and alternatives
  • Give or withdraw informed consent for treatment, procedures, and the use of their information
  • Have their personal and medical information kept confidential
  • Be accompanied by a trusted person during difficult conversations
  • Access their own medical records in accordance with applicable law
  • Raise concerns or complaints without any negative effect on the quality of care they receive
  • Receive a response to formal concerns within a reasonable time

Your responsibilities as a patient

Good care depends on partnership. Patients are asked to:

  • Provide accurate information about their health history, symptoms, allergies, and medicines
  • Follow agreed plans, and tell the team promptly if they are unable to do so
  • Treat all staff, other patients, and visitors respectfully
  • Keep appointments and notify reception as early as possible if a cancellation or rescheduling is needed
  • Ask questions if they do not understand something — this is always welcome

How to share feedback or raise a concern

Feedback — whether positive or about something that could be improved — helps the center provide better care. You may:

  • Speak directly with your treating doctor or nurse
  • Contact the patient relations department by telephone or in writing (see the Contacts page for details)
  • Submit written feedback through reception

When raising a concern, providing your name and contact number, a clear description of what happened and when, and what outcome you are hoping for will help the team respond effectively. If you are raising a concern on behalf of another patient, please state your relationship to them.

Confidentiality

All contacts with the patient relations department are treated with confidentiality. Information shared is used only to address your concern or improve care, not to influence your clinical treatment.

If you require assistance in a language other than Uzbek or Russian, or if you have communication needs related to a disability, please let reception know so that appropriate support can be arranged.

Medical information notice

Website information supports patient orientation only. It does not replace consultation, diagnosis, treatment decisions, or emergency care from qualified medical staff.
