The Republican Specialized Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology was founded in 1962 as a research institute for oncology and radiology and has operated under its current name since 2017.
Since 20 May 2026 the center has also operated as a Gustave Roussy International – Uzbekistan hospital, in partnership with Gustave Roussy, one of Europe's leading cancer institutes. The center provides specialized oncology care. Public center information lists 14 branches, 650 inpatient beds, 100 ambulatory chemotherapy beds, 1,250 medical staff, and more than 6,000 high-technology operations per year.
