Inpatient care

Inpatient care is provided for patients whose treatment, monitoring, or recovery requires a hospital stay. Admission is planned by the treating team based on the clinical situation and the agreed treatment plan.

On admission, your documents are checked and an initial assessment is carried out before you are settled into the relevant department. During the stay the treating doctor coordinates investigations, procedures, medication, and nursing care, and keeps you informed about the plan and expected next steps.

For a planned admission, prepare an identity document, your referral, previous test results, a list of medicines you take regularly, personal hygiene items, comfortable clothing, and chargers.

Visiting hours, permitted items, and infection-control measures protect patients, families, and staff. Please confirm the current rules with the admission team before arrival.

Inpatient admission is arranged through the treating department after consultation or referral. Confirm timing, documents, and any preparation through reception.
