Minimally invasive cancer surgeries performed with a Turkish specialist
During a masterclass at the Center, specialists of the minimally invasive surgery department and Professor Fatih Altıntoprak of Sakarya University performed a laparoscopic gastrectomy and a laparoscopic sigmoid resection.
Specialists of the minimally invasive surgery department, together with a leading Turkish specialist — Professor Fatih Altıntoprak, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Sakarya University and an oncosurgeon — held a masterclass at the Center, during which two operations were performed.
Laparoscopic gastrectomy
A patient born in 1962 was diagnosed with cancer of the cardioesophageal junction, stage II, clinical group II, Siewert type III, with type 2 diabetes mellitus as a comorbidity. The surgical team comprised Professor Askar Anvarovich Adilkhodjaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences Oqiljon Abdukhalilovich Rakhimov, Umidjon Butabekovich Urmonov and Professor Fatih Altıntoprak.
Laparoscopic sigmoid resection
A patient born in 1980 was diagnosed with sigmoid colon cancer and underwent a laparoscopic sigmoid resection with a descendorectal anastomosis. The surgical team comprised Professor Askar Anvarovich Adilkhodjaev, Doctor of Medical Sciences Oqiljon Abdukhalilovich Rakhimov, Kamronbek Doniyorovich Komiljonov and Professor Fatih Altıntoprak.
