Republican specialized Scientific and practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology was founded in 1962 as the Uzbek research Institute of Oncology and radiology. Since 2018 — Republican specialized Scientific and practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology.
The Republican specialized Scientific and practical Medical Center of Oncology and Radiology is the head institution of the Oncology service of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which includes 16 large institutions of oncological service (city, regional, Republican dispensaries), as well as 232 oncological offices in district and city polyclinics. In total, there are 2,265 cancer beds in the country, 145 of which are intended for the treatment of children.
